Behind every rescue, training session and Sunday morning on Stockton Beach is a team of passionate volunteers who keep our club thriving.
Led by our executive team and board of directors, the committee oversees everything from beach patrol operations and educational pathways to surf sports training, financial management and Nippers activities.
Whether you have a query about joining a patrol, enrolling your child in Nippers, or getting involved in club operations, our leadership team is here to help.

President
Jo-Anne, more commonly known as Jo or Joey, joined surf life saving to give her daughter the opportunity to learn vital ocean safety skills and develop a deep respect for the sea. Jo loves training and competing, with team events being her true passion. One of Jo’s greatest achievements is becoming the first female President of this club she has come to love so much.

Vice President
Hannah feels privileged to have been part of Stockton Surf Life Saving Club since she was a 5-year-old nipper. Since then, Hannah has held several committee positions and represented the club in Surf Boat Rowing. Hannah is incredibly passionate about all members of Stockton Surf Club.

Director of Education
Willow leads Stockton and the Hunter Branch’s education function. Professionally, Willow holds a doctorate in household flood preparedness, and she plays a pivotal role on Stockton’s erosion advisory committee. Willow has an extensive career spanning roles in financial services, manufacturing and strategic business consulting.

Director of Surf Sports
Jimmy has been a member of Stockton Surf Life Saving Club for over 16 years, drawn by his love for the ocean and mates. Surf lifesaving has taken Jimmy to some incredible places, forged his lifelong friendships and earned him a medal or two. Jimmy is now a proud nipper dad.

Director of Finance
Geoff has over a decade of patrolling experience and a strong background in financial leadership. Holding a Bachelor of Business, an MBA and a Grad Dip Finance, professionally Geoff has held leadership roles across various sectors. Geoff is a proud nipper dad and effective steward of Stockton Surf Club’s financial sustainability.

Director of life saving
Passionate about community and coastal life, Dina has enjoyed raising her kids through Nippers at Stockton Surf Club. Committed to giving back, Dina values teamwork, connection and supporting others. Whether volunteering or helping behind the scenes Dina is driven to make a positive difference in the lives of those around her.

Director of Administration
Gabbie has represented Stockton in Surf Boat Rowing, loving the sport for the teammates and camaraderie as much as the racing itself. A dedicated teacher by trade, Gabbie brings that same care to her role on committee. She loves being part of the Stockton community and finds real meaning in giving back to the club and beach.

Director of Junior
Marc joined Stockton Surf Life Saving Club as Director of Junior Activities after seeing how much his own children gained from the Nippers program. New to the surf lifesaving environment, he brings fresh enthusiasm and a strong commitment to learning while supporting the club’s junior pathway. Marc is focused on creating a welcoming, organized and encouraging experience for all families, helping every child build confidence, skills and a strong connection to the Stockton community.

Committee Member
Jane joined Stockton Surf Club in 2010 after competing her bronze to keep up with her three sons in the surf. Whilst Jane has accepted that she has no hope of keeping up with her sons, she can apply her broader skills supporting the club’s operations.

Registrar
Originally from Northern Ireland, Karen grew up swimming competitively and completed her bronze medallion. Karen returned to lifesaving through her children and began patrolling when she moved to Stockton in 2020. Karen enjoys being part of the iconic Aussie beach culture and helping in her local community.
Running a vibrant surf lifesaving club requires support both on and off the sand. If you are interested in joining a subcommittee, assisting with events, or helping behind the scenes, we would love to hear from you.
